I agree. The gold in the new Pro V1x box clashes with my shoes. I'm going to have to go with the regular Pro V1 in the black and silver box. That looks much better to me, from my new all black shoes to my old Classics in cordovan. Very hard to go wrong matching your shoes when selecting the silver box... I wish they had the box available in white though, while the silver goes with my carry bag, a white box with my staff bag would be sweeeeet!

Well it all sounds great. I love the durability and distance statements. I also like that the X can hold a green without spinning off 12 feet... from how titleist makes it sound I'm really excited about the new Prov1x. Can't wait to hear reviews from non staffers.

 

....but dang I need some silver shoes. The package design team is really hurting my scores. ;)

aww, that was kind of sweet. now i feel bad for getting a little riled up.

 

but come to think of it, i'm surprised white isn't one of the main colors on the new boxes. from a design standpoint, it seems like white is all the rage when releasing a brand new version of things these days. at least, it seems that way to me, especially after you've used black, gold, and silver.

 

for the record, i was also disappointed when none of The Sopranos dvd sets were white.

i guess which ball you play is an absolute preference b/c guys with high swing speeds like Adam Scott & JB Holmes are both playing different pro v versions.

 

I swing it about 115 MPH...i'm indecisive.

 

Also...it says the RETAIL PRICE IS $58!!! What's up with that?
