I have a set of the prototypes listed in classifieds, great irons with a buttery soft feel and great looking. The satin finish is very nice on these irons and the thin topline and sole are very blade like. Without the stamping or paintfil they are a very clean looking rare set.

The only reason mine are listed is the itch to try something new! I guess we are never satisified.

I had the oportunity to squeeze these out of Champx2's inventory. I love them. They feel great and i would slot them in as my gamers if they had a touch less offset. Still will never let them go.

To this day I have never duplicated the soft feeling I had with an old set of Firesole forged. These arnt them but the feeling is close.

My 300s have a DG Lite S400 shaft and my Protos have a DG x100. The ball flight in the 300s is a little higher and are very workable to either draw or fade. The protos have a great trajectory are very consistent pretty forgiving. Both clubs clean lines and sit excellent at address. As I normally draw the ball, I think the thicker toe on the protos helps me keep the toe a little more square through the hitting area. As this is my first set of x100 I'll be curious to see if the shaft is helping me too, but the jury is still out on that one and I need a little more work with them. Love the soft feel of the protos and love the satin look. Miura TMs are hard to beat.

On looks alone the protos are #1, but for the courses I play at the moment the 300s are in the bag...
