Driver: Callaway FT-5, 10*, Neutral, Fujikura 553 Speeder, S-flex:

I've loved the sound/feel of the Callaway FT-series drivers ever since the first FT-3. To me, this club feels & sounds terrific, is very forgiving, and gives a nice medium trajectory, with a good feeling of ballspeed. Part of the magic is the PUREd 553 Speeder, which is a simply wonderful shaft.

 

3-Wood: & 5 Wood: Titleist 980F, 15*, 19*, Fujikura Speeder-S flex:

These 980F Titleists are GREAT. I searched long and hard for a set of woods to replace my older Callaways, and these are the ticket. The feeling at impact is tremendous, they look fantastic, and for some reason.........I LOVE the OEM Titleist/Fuji Speeder shaft!!! I realize this shaft is not the "real" Speeder, but I love the 980F/"T-Speeder" combination. At times, I can hit my 5W almost as long as most people's drivers.

 

2-Iron: Bridgestone J33 Combo Tour issue, Aldila NV85 Hybrid, S-flex. I wanted to experiment with a 2-iron vs. a 5wood, for windy days. I use this club for a "Stinger" shot while teeing off on short par4 holes, or going for the green on long par5's with receptive greens. I chose to use a lightweight graphite shaft for better feel and acceleration through the ball.

 

Irons (3-PW): Tourstage Z101, 3-PW. As I've posted many times, I feel these are the finest forged cavity back irons ever manufactured. Nothing I've hit or owned can come close to the feel, balance, and performance of these irons. My previous irons (Hogan Apex Edge Pros) were wonderful irons, but the Z101's have kicked them out of the bag.

 

Wedges: Mizuno MP (original MP design). Even today, I cannot find any sandwiches that perform as well as these original Mizzy MP's. They are simply awesome wedges in every way.

 

Putter: Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Stainless Newport 2. I switched from a Ping Anser to a Scotty Cameron years ago, and never looked back. Now.....I own THREE Camerons, two Studio Stainless Newport 2's, and a Studio Stainless Newport Beach. A recent putter analysis session determined that I'm putting the best with the Studio Stainless Newport 2, but I practice with the Beach, as I love the feedback it delivers. To better fit my putting stance, I've moved down to 34" putters, and have considered dropping to 33".

 

Ball: Bridgestone B330, Titleist ProV1/V1X, Callaway HX Tour, amongst others. As you can tell, I experiment with many different balls, but have the best performance with softer core, lower spinning balls.
