Mine arrived as well.

2 rounds so far. Great driver. It is was the 905R should've been. Lowish launch pear shape.

The stock shaft, I got the Tour Stiff is kind of weird. It is a soft stiff at best but it is a lowish launch but soft. The closest thing i would it would be is like playing a DGr300. Regular flex but the tip is firm.

On mishit the driver is kind of different. Most players driver's mishits for me dive and go nowhere and solid shots go the correct piercing trajectory.

This driver has the same flattish/piercing flight on good shots but on mishits tends to perform like a high moi driver, meaning it will slightly spin a bit too much and just go straight with a little loss in distance.

Strange but the feel is better than anything over 420cc that I have hit. Even the Tourstage drivers.

Still pondering a reshaft. It feels like I'm needing a bit more spin for this head. I'll probably go YSQ.

This is one top notch driver and it should be in more bags. I hit a few at a demo day and the Callaway guy was so confident the FT9 would out perform it he let me hit it against the Crews on the launch monitor. Result longer with better accuracy to the Crews, I was sold!

I have no idea, but yea I was looking at these and almost bought one for 725.00(?) from tour spec. I have bought a few things from them and they are great. But I looked on ebay and found one up for sale from another japanese vendor for 599.00, so I grabbed it. NEXT DAY I look on tourspec and see that the price dropped350.00!!! The only relief was that the loft I wanted was sold out.

Anyway if you can get one for the discounted price you CANNOT go wrong ( my opinon of course)

Interesting to see such good reviews. Any reason that the price on the driver has dropped quite a bit?

IMHO I would say the market of the driver is kind of limited.

In Japan most hot selling items generally have a "techy" look to them. The xxios, the Mac NVG-Rs, even the player's drivers in the Tourstage and Srixon line all have a certain modern technology look to them (usually on the bottom of the better players' drivers). The Crews is as simple as you can get. The only hint of tech is the weight on the back, even that is kinda small.

That translates to low sales in Japan.

I guess this must be a push to get their product in the hands of buyers outside Japan. It worked for me. The price made me try it.

I just wished TSG had them with better shaft options. The stock shaft does not fit me at all. I can hit it but not with my "natural" swing. It is that forgiving. BTW the stock shaft is made by GD.

The problem now is even with the new price US drivers are going down in $$ as well. Is the great feel and classic shape worth the extra $150 over most US domestic drivers? If it had more shafts on offer at TSG I would've paid another $50 to get it in a GD EV or MD.

Would be hard to say. I had asked another member who had the 10.5 in the classifieds as to the height. He said it was too high that is why he was selling it.

Mine definitely does not go high. Medium at best, even the other 3 guys in my flight I let hit it all said it went lower than their current gamers (all 9 to 10.5 lofts as well). Could be the Tour stiff shaft being soft to flex yet it feels stout in the tip area only? The other member had the stiff (not TS) shaft.

Chances are you will reshaft if your swingspeed is above 95, even with the tour stiff.

I'll be getting on a LM next weekend with this driver. I'll see if I can post numbers.

My last gamed Titleist driver was the triangular D1. I do have 2 XTDs Pros in the back up bags. One with a Vista Tour 60 and the other with a older MRC Strixx. The Crews hits it lower than both, although I find the XTD a high launch (low spin) head, that is why the Vista Tour in one (to lower launch) and the Strixx to keep launch in the other head.

I have demoed the 909 D2, I would say the launch is lower on the Crews, the shaft in the 909 was the stock Voodoo/Titleist. I would say that was a better shaft for me than the TS stock in the Crews.

If I were to choose, I would choose the Crews based on feel. It felt better than the 909, I just don't know what will happen to the feel when I eventually reshaft.

I've just put one of these back in the bag. It's got a voodoo x s7 in it and it feels like the first time all year I've driven the ball properly.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
