When To Change To Graphite Shafts?

I'm not a senior golfer yet, but my dad is. I have been trying to convince him to switch to graphite for years now, but he won't listen. Can you guys offer me some persuasive arguments to give him. I ahve a lready tried more distance, less tired at the end of the round etc...I just don't understand his reluctance to change. Thanks for any help you can give.

Why do you want your dad to go with graphite?

I would rather play steel. I just got a new set of Ci7 irons with reg flex graphite. I had a set of Pinseekers with senior flex that were all over the place. I wanted to go with steel but I decided on graphite because they are easier on my body in general, especially my hands when I mis-hit. I really really like them, and they are accurate and long; but I can't even convince myself that they are longer than steel much less as accurate.

There is just something about the weight of steel that gives a solid more balanced feel.

I know this isn't helping your cause, but unless he is having some medical problem using steel, I'd say let him hit away.

If distance is a problem have him try a low compression ball.
