Picks Other Than The Top 5

I need some of y'alls ideas on putting my players pool picks together for the TPC this week.

Who do you like for top 10 finishes besides the top 5 players?

Furyk has a bad record there at the TPC, but do you think this year may be different?

Dimarco the same.. His record is not good there and he is off to a slow start this year, but I have a feeling he might play well there this year.

I obviously like Oglivy, but he looks a bit tired..

I like Verplank to finish well, as I do Fred Funk again.

What about Toms? His record is terrible in this event, but how do you NOT play him?

Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated.

For some reason I'm going with David Howell this week.

You know, I keep coming across David Howell too in some articles and picks.. Hmm, I don't have him on my player's pool as the one I play on is for real money and I almost HAVE to go with some favorites, but it would not surprise me to seem him in the top 10 at the end of the day if the jetlag doesn't get him coming fromMalaysia.. Damn.. I wish I could drop someone to put him in, but how do you change a lineup like this?

I have mulled over the players for the last three days, checking stats, past results at the TPC, etc.. It is so hard to pick for this tournament. This week the course is going to play firm and fast and the greens are going to be running about 11.5, so driving accuracy and scrambling will be paramount.. I think the guys I have picked show those abilities.

 

One of the players I really fear leaving off my teams is Jim Furyk.. SOMETHING tells me this might be the week he finishes well there. His past record is not that good, but then again, neither is David Tom's record, but you have to play him based on his 2006 stats/results.

 

Hopefully I have pulled the right names together to get into the money.. It is pretty substantial for the top three places in this pool I participate in. Wish me luck!
