Which golf ball to choose????

TP LDP Black, Srixon Z-URS, Gamer, or E5+???

Basically I have narrowed my 3 golf ball options down to A. The TP LDP Black, B. The Srixon Z-URS, and C. The Top Flite Gamer. Which one should I go with? I cant decide. Srixon, TP, and E5+ are all $20/dozen while the gamer is $17 so not much of a difference.

I play on a US Open qualifying course, so spin is extremely helpful, but I dont really produce any. So which one of the above golf balls should I get, OR should I go for balls that promote distance (TP Red, Z-URC, or E6+) instead of going for a ball to try and improve my extreme lack of spin, which I am thinking might be the Indian not the arrow.

I'd toss the gamer immediately out of your equation..

 

it's durability is horrible and the spin is nothing to really write home about, for $3 more a dozen (gpp golf sale going on) you get a much better ball

 

I am a fan so far of the TP blacks (for $20 a dozen that's a pretty solid ball)

yesterday, I hit a 3 iron tee shot and on the fly it landed on the cartpath, it must have bounced 100-150 feet up in the air, and it really wasn't much worse for the wear at all.

Out of the choices you have there I'd say the TP LDP Black. Best combo of length, feel, spin. I tried the Gamer this weekend and it was a bit hard for my tastes and didn't spin around the greens like I prefer.

 

Going off the list.... if you're going to spend the cash for the TP Black, look at the new Srixon Z-star. Better than all the ones you mentioned. It's a club longer off the irons for me. Driver is about the same to slightly longer. Better spin than the URS and Gamer. URC is harder but spins more.

TP Black is $20/dozen GPP Sale, I would LOVE to play the Z-star but $33 a dozen is too much for a 18 capper (due to inconsistency not lack of skill, for example today i shot a 39 on the front 9 of a US Open Qualifying course from blues)

You might want to toss the Burner TP in there as well. A great ball for a good price. I am using the Maxfli Tour Fire which is almost the exact same ball and I can spin the heck out of it. backed up a 9 iron almost 20 feet on Friday! You can still find the Tour fires at some of the Dicks stores for about $14 a dozen if you are looking to save money. There are some on ebay for about $70 for 6 dozen too.

For $20, the TM TP is a great ball! However, be prepared for a wait if you order from GPP. My order for this ball with them for has been on hold for more than 2 weeks now. Supposedly they received a new shipment yesterday, but I'm not holding my breath. They told me the same thing last week and the week before that also.
