Bold move buying from a guy with 13 feedbacks. Even bolder to show off your maybe stolen driver on a website with 40+ thousand people. Your great find may be short lived due to your "look at what i got suckers" move. Sometimes the best deals are meant to be on the down low.

I showed this to the Nike rep for my club, he said its stolen for sure. He said if I got him the serial number he can track it down to see where it's been.

Again I will point out what I noticed and that was that the club sold from Norman, OK.....where AK went to school and played golf. You don't think it's possible that he gave this club to a college friend who in turn sold it? Why just assume that it was stolen? And I am sure your reps know their stuff but I am quite positive that they do not know who AK calls his friends and gives his old clubs to.

I know that if I had a Prototype club and it was stolen from me, I would contact the company so they could be aware of the incident. They would then hopefully pass it along to the other staff in the company, ie reps. I think it is entirely possible for this club to have been given to a friend and sold on Ebay for a profit during these tough economic times. It's single club in a sea of many, any scenario is possible. No need to be calling folks ignorant.

You guys might be right no one will ever know, just seems sketchy to me overall though. I know KJ Choi is notorious for hoarding clubs and giving them to his agent, caddy, etc. to make some extra cash, its actually a pretty common thing today with the economic times.

LOLI bet AK has like 30 of these drivers and multiple sets of irons and buttonbacks. He seems like the kind of guy who would just give equipment away to buddies who want to get into the game. He has no control over what the buddy does with the equip. You guys really shouldn't accuse people of anything based on assumptions.

While I agree that posting this great buy on here was extremely short-sighted, I would have to say that anyone with any sense can figure out that the ebay seller "pveroulis" is AK's best friend/personal assistant Paul Veroulis. All you have to do is google that name, it doesn't take a genius...

 

So yes, AK gave this to his friend so he could make a little cash, it wasn't stolen. End of story.

 

You should be careful about calling someone ignorant when you haven't bothered to conduct any (even superficial) fact-finding of your own. Especially when what you're doing involved calling someone a thief. The laws on internet anonymity are a-changing my friend...

I talked to the manager at the nike golf store in the shops at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and I asked her about the Dymo prototype. She then called the her rep and then called me back. She then told me that the 380 will be released no later than January 2009. If you're in Vegas and you're a nike golf fan, you have to go check out this store. NIKE GOLF merchandise only. Dymo drivers in 8.5, x-flex, TW platinum shirts that I havent been able to find anywhere and many more. Really cool stuff.
