You can access the this site on an iPhone already.

I would be more interested in just a mobile version of the site. Not just an iPhone app, even though I do have an iPhone.

I have no idea how to get one created, but wouldn't it be cool to have one?

Anyone have ideas on how to get an iphone app created for the forum?

The app would allow you to access and navigate thru the forum without having to zoom in each page to use the site features. Typically, the apps are faster than using the internet.

I use the lo-fi version of the site on my blackberry and it works very well for me.

Like most aps it would be alot smoother and user friendly than just viewing this site on safari. A mobile version would work well to. Def a good idea!!

Would it be more effective to conduct a survey to see how many members are also an iPhone users first ? I would be happy to help with the application if there are many iPhone users like myself.

I think the best way to do this would be a mobile version of the site to start with since it would make life easier for a larger audience. After that though a iPhone app would be nice. I hate having to login to the site to get to my messenger and the ability to save that in an Apps preferences would be nice.

I am working on a free golf game for iPhone, and I would be happy to help establishig a iPhone application for Golfwrx forum, since we can not just copy the whole website into the iPhone app, so we should start with what do we need in the application ?

while i'm for an iPhone app (just got an iphone myself) i think it would be much more useful to have a generalized web based mobile version that targets all smartphones. The lo-fi version is almost workable but navigation to things like new posts or replies is difficult on a smartphone. it's fine once you're in a post and just reading but you still can't make a post in lo-fi.

i'd be happy to help as well. i'm an asp.net developer but have no problem working w/ php. even if we stayed on the web side of things the iphone devs could work on the frontend. for me what makes the iphone great is the usability. there are plenty of things it doesn't do that other phones can, but for things it can do, it does them well w/ amazing usability. the good iphone apps all have great ui's. i've seen web based apps that look and feel like iphone apps and no reason we couldn't do the same. again, since it's web based all phone could use it.

I think that the best feature of the iphone app should be no signatures at the end of posts. Would make reading threads much easier on the little screen with no scrolling. As one iphone user that ALWAYS has an GolfWRX window open in safari, I can say that an app that would give you an RSS feed of your pre selected forums would be awesome. I will update as I come up with other ideas.

Also, a push notification of any FS ads from littlepingman would be great. I always seem to miss out on his great deals.
