Is the 905R the best driver out there?

hi all took my new titleist 905r with diamana shaft out today good driver not great just good not a patch on the nike sq with real diamana, think my bridgestone 420 with diamana is maybe a little better than the 905r shame cause theres been so much hype with the titleist,better luck next time

I picked up my second 905R yesterday and played a round with it today. Previously it was a 10.5 with V2 76 stiff, which I launched extremely low 8 degrees. I had them order a 11.5 with the V2 76 stiff and its the ticket for me. I hit every fairway except 2 with it today and got the medium trajectory that I am looking for, with a good bit of roll at the end. I only average about 250 with any driver so the 905R was on par with that. No balooning like the SZ400 and 440 Cobra I had been playing and very easy to hit this straight. Its a very solid feeling club as is the standard attraction with Titleist woods. The heavier shaft in this club really makes it feel solid, as I had tried the GD YS6+ stiff and found the club to be too light feeling. Overall a very good driver.

I have had mine now 3 weeks and have 6 18 hole rounds and 1 9holer. I have hit some real bombs with it. I am 52 and a scratch golfer and I am back to hitting it with the one college player and one mini tour player that palys with our weekend group which were both 10/15 yds longer than I was before getting the R. I am not sure why this club is longer than the T I was hitting because it is the same shaft and loft but it is.

Very good driver!

After starting this topic and reading all the reviews, I finally got to play with my 905R in a actual round today.

My 905R has 8.5 loft and a grafalloy blue stiff shaft. I will admit,it is not the most forgiving big head driver out there, but Titleist did not get famous on making forgiving drivers. Let me now say this, THIS DRIVER IS LONG!!!! When I caught it solid it bored through the sky at a perfect trajectory and rolled hard. I am a 5 handicap and this is the kind of performance out of a driver I was looking for. Is this the perfect driver for everyone, Hell No!, but if you are a decent ball striker you might want to give this one a try. The 905R sets up like a dream and is fairly forgiving, but when flushed it is LOOOOOOOONG!!!!!!!!!!!!
