MY Titleist BX56 Carry Bag with Ogio Schling!

I recently purchased an Ogio Schling SS bag...and have used it for a couple rounds came to the conclusion the Ogio bag itself is just to darn big and heavy for aggressive walkers who like all their clubs but at minimial weight etc... I have also found the Schling to be very comfortable and really easy to use...so I started thinking and examing the Ogio schling and my BX56 Titleist bag...and after some thought..decided to try and mate the two together(as the Ogio Schling just clips on and off very easily)....

 

Well, first let me say the balnce point on the Schling needs to be exactly right...otherwise it throws the weight to one side or the other and feels like a One straper...and the placement of the all the hooks ona standard bag are just not right for the Ogio..just off a few inches here and there..which makes a huge difference.... so after some trial and error to figure out the correct placement for the loops that the Schling needs to hook to, I went to work...you only need a couple caribineers to do it...the lower loop: I used a caribineer to hook the lower strap taps together to make One Central loop for the Schling..very easy...the upper loop for the Schling proved a little more challenging, as there must be quite a bit of offset to the left(or side of the bag)...which the upper strap mounts don't provide enough off...So I discovered that if I use another caribineer that actually goes inside the bag and around one of the top dividing supports ...this worked very well as it has enough offset to position the schlings balance point in the correct placement without the bag wanting to flip upside down....

the end result is a very light bag(at least 1lbs or so lighter and it positioned the schling so I no longer get caught up with my legs and the bags legs when I pick it up....the only downside right now is the $150 I put out for the Ogio bag to begin with...if you could just buy the Schling separately it would be a great upgrade to any bag!!! Just thought I would share! thanks josh

It definitely looks great--read it last night and was too sleepy to grasp the top portion, but after reading it today I'd say awesome job rigging it up. Too bad the shling doesn't come separate--like you said, that's an expensive strap!!

I think so...my fav, more so than the hoofer...but now its even better!!!

If possible, can you get a golf bud to take a pic of you with the bag on? I'm curious to see how the distribution of weight looks in the walking position.
