TT tour concept s3

advice please

Hi all,

I've been offered a set of TT tour concept s3's and would like to know what people's experiences are with them.

Specifically how do they play compared to TT dgs300?

Negatives/Positives?

I have a set that were tipped 1/2" to be put into a .370 head (I was given them by a friend bc he said he would never play anything that requires a .370 tip)...anyways they are great shafts.

I would say the ball flight is a little more flat with the tc's compared to s300, they also felt smoother to me like a project x. To be honest I don't know if I would ever pay full price for a new set of them. I have a satin set....hope that helps

Cheers mate, i've been offered them second hand at a generous price, from the quick glance i had, the finish appears to have marked a bit, but i can live with that.

Smoother feel than DG sounds good, although i've no issues with the DG feel, it's more a curiousity purchase, in the hope i can find something better..

Interested also if they play to the same flex as DG

Alittle lighter than DG iirc, not as firm in the tip. if they are flighted, the effect is pretty mild. Flex is noticeably softer than DG as supported by measurements. Feel is smooth as a baby's bum.

Yea....what he said.....

I play X1's soft stepped once. Love them. For me it is a tie between the TC X1's and PX 6.5 Flighted. I like both, both seem equal on all fronts to me, but, that's JMO.

Super smooth, spinny, higher flight than DG which for me costs about half a club in distance. They don't balance right for me (I'm used to PX) but that's just me - I tend to hit them thin. Great alternative to graphite, especially with something like a prosoft insert, because the shock absoption is fantastic. the green finish wears heavily.

Thanks for the advice guys, it might be sensible for me to steer clear of these. I don't want to go a softer flex than the DG. Pity they're not X1, there'd be a few more options that way. Bummer..
