Srixon W-302 Driver, Anyone try it?

Hello All,

 

Does anyone own or have tried the Srixon W-302 Driver? I picked one up off 3Balls for $35 to try out since I love my I302 irons so much.

 

I have used it one round and so far it feels great. The "sv" shaft that comewith it is a noodle, but I will swap it out with an EI soon. But has anyone had any good thing to say about this driver.

I have not had much luck with the +400cc drivers so the head size was up my alley. I have tried to like the the 905R but hit the 905S better, maybe I am not ready to make the leap to 460CC.

 

Anyway your thoughts on the Srixon W-302 would be appreciated.

I used the Srixon 302 driver briefly last year, very good solid sounding and feeling driver, I liked the smaller 380cc? head with a fairly traditional design. Very good distance but you're right, the stock shaft was too soft and I did not want to go thru the hassle of changing the shaft. I even tried the 403 and recently the 506 drivers, all are good drivers IMO, comparable to any major OEM driver IMO. With the right head/shaft combo, I think they're solid and as good as any of the other major drivers out there. The I 302 irons however are IMO one of the best forged CBs available, I played these for awhile and shot my best round of golf using them. I should have never sold them, I am keeping an eye on 3ballsgolf's auctions on these irons. Not much info but hope this helps.

Thanks, I also purchased the I302's from 3balls, got a great deal and love these babys.

I have some EI70 shafts that i can mess around with, I will pop one in the W302 and post some reviews.
