Nike T60 Woods

Hey All,

 

I know there is a lot of love on this board for the T60 woods, but I have never tried them.

 

What I would like to know is do these woods launch the ball high? I hit the ball high naturaly, and do not need a fariway wod that helps in that department.

I am trying to find a 4 wood 7 wood combo to get rid of my 3, and 5 wood, and 3 iron.

 

Also what is the difference between the T40 Tour and the T60 does one hit lower or higher than the other, and is that why Tiger uses the T60 in the 3, and the T40 tour in the 5?

for me, the t-60 is a mid trajectory 3 wood with a rilfe 5.5 tipped 1". with the stock steel shaft it was a mid to high trajectory, but on accasion i would fight too much spin (a big problem hitting into the wind). if you are a high ball hitter, thanthe stock graphite and stock steel shaft would not be for you, but you shouldn't have to work hard to find a shaft that will work for you with this 3-wood.

 

the difference between the t-40 tour and t-60 are that the t-60 is has a deeper face than the t-40 tour and that the t-60 has 20 grams more wieight in the sole. the t-40 tour woods had the problem that each wood (3, 4, and 5) had a different feel and sound where as the t-60 is consistent through out the different lofts. the t-40 tour 5 wood was an excellent wood. easy to get up, and because of the small, shallow head is easy from the rough.
