also.. i was asked to caddy for guy who couldn't find a caddy.

his name was travis johnson.. great player and a great guy.. had a blast.. got beat down by the humidity carrying the huge staff bag up and down the no so flat course. It was the best time!

tour scotty ct stamp with his initial.. tour black matter newport GSS.. freakin sweet!!! i putted with it and i now see the light on scotty tour putters... the feel was amazing... nothing like retail.

I have to ask about the HiBore -- 8.75* ??? Did it say that on the bottom, or was it an 8.5 (or 9.5?) that just measured out at 8.75 degrees of loft. There isn't any "8.75" that is a USGA-conforming head as far as I know, so that would be pretty weird.

Any other marks on it? Tour serial #? "B"? "C"?

I wonder if the 2/open or 4/open reference has anything to do with the (Version B) and (Version C) heads that are on the USGA Conforming Driver Club Head list...

 

Anybody got a connection for Cleveland tour van stuff? Information at least, if not actual clubheads...

the C heads are the Vijay heads, which were made to his needs and spec (IE: horizontal scoring lines which he likes to see, open face angles, fade biased)

 

 

the b heads i know are 4* open there is also a blank hosel which i believe isn't tour but retail without a serial (?) and is square..

just saw travis the other day. he had a 8.5* B version tour serial. his driver set dead perfect. hope this helps.

that makes perfect sense.. let me clear this up.. his head says 8.5 but is 8.75*
