Lamkin Dual Density grips

An absolute disaster

For the first time in my life, I was unable to get a grip on a club no matter what I tried. The Lamkin Dual Density grips (the green ones) are absolutely horrible to work with. I found them to be too thin at the bottom.

Anyone else have an issue with these?

Just be thankful you didn't actually get it on the club.....I actually liked the one I tried until it wore out in one month!.....worse durability than the old Winn grips...felt spongy and also felt like the club was slipping in my hands....

The one grip actually began to disintegrate while I was trying to put it on the club - the white fill in "Lamkin" bagna to peel off and I started to see gree shavings coming off the grip.

There's such a catch-22 with these grips. Because of the firm underlisting material, it doesn't breathe, so there are problems with people getting solvent stuck under the grip and having it twist. So lamkin reccomends not using too much solvent or leaving the butt of the shaft open (not pigtailing the grip tape over) so solvent can escape.

 

However, if you don't use much solvent, you run into the problem you saw here, a destroyed grip.

 

After all these advancements, I've never found anything more durable or that has the traction of Lamkin Tour black full cords. I keep looking, but that's the only grip on my gamers.

I didn't find them too bad to get on, but I was just annoyed at the ridiculous wear these thing had on them in about 4 weeks. Highly disappointed in them.

Agreed...these grips are a joke durability-wise. Lamkin should offer a money back or replacement program for those burned by believing the hype surrounding. It is difficult to believe they actually tested these grips prior to releasing them to the marketplace.

I met an old guy at the range and he said he's had the same Winn originals for thousands of range balls. I looks at them and no heavy wear in the typical places. He used to be a very good player and can still hit very well.

 

Maybe youse guys are choking the chicken alittle too hard?

The dual density's have terrible durability and I didn't really care too much for the feel of grip. It seemed like the grip was moving under my hands.
