Great looking bag! I'm doing the same thing as you, I recently ordered a newport too.

I actually used to have the CG1's in the chrome, man those were some great blades with a nice feel, anyways hope the clubs continue to treat you well.

Currently playing the Mizuno MP-32's which i really do like, but the CG1's had a different feel to be honest that is hard to match. If you want to see some pics, head over to my WITB post

Also my current handicap is a 3, and hopefully lowering!! haha

It was a toss up for me between the CG1 and the mp-32's took me 2 months of hitting them both in numerous shops to decide.....the feel and finish on the CG1 BP's did it for me...Good luck on the journey to scratch, lock that putting and shortgame down and you'll hit it right outta the gate....Good luck this season!

close, it's 8 split across the top 08' version, best golfbag I've ever purchased, the 09' has the 6-split, the bag is large and the ballistic material is so clean looking and easy to clean..the bag is completely waterproof cause of the ballistic material...only stand bag I've ever seen that is "that" close looking to a tour staff bag...Definitely think you would be happy with one of these bags...I'll probably be picking up an extra one this summer to hold on to for when they stop making them soon...

Just curious why you would have S flex shafts in your woods with a ball speed that you have your swing speed has to be about 118 mph. If that is true you would really benifit from an X flex shaft in your woods. IMO

I wondered the exact same thing, but my numbers were dialed in when I got it (11-12* launch...I like a medium penetrating flight- 2200-2400 spin rate-174-185 mph ball speed 300-309 carry on avg), I normally play a 75-80g shaft cause of my swing speed... however, I think there's a heavier weight in the head to compensate a little....Thanks for the comment! take care!

Wow I could play that bag right now. I'm just a fraction taller than you at 6'8" but your swing is a hec of a lot better than mine. I have two sets of irons, Ping i15's (love em) and MP 62's (like but not love). I've hit a lot of irons in my time and I think Ping does the best job when it comes to longer clubs, mine are also + 1 1/5. Do you have any thoughts on that? I have the DG SL's in the Mizuno's but again they just feel a little dead. What's the swing weight on your irons? Are your woods extended? I just got the new Adams Fast 10 with the Matrix shaft. It's funny when you get matched to the right shaft the results you get. Best driver I've ever hit (for me) and again I've hit most of them.

[color=#1C2837]yikes! sorry on the delay boss back to work full time and with golf season upon us, not much time left to check on the forums...Thanks for the post for starters, and when it comes to the length, I feel if it makes things more effortless and comfortable... do it!!! Custom clubs was the way to go. The DG SL's are decent....I'm more of a PX guy, I have True temper black gold's in mine and shafts don't get much better than that in my opinion....too bad they don't make em anymore...the swing weight on my clubs is E2 and my woods are not extended for accuracy, so I tell myself...lol[/color]
