My WITB for 2010: Taylormade Edition (almost)

College golf stuck in Northeast Snow!!

Even though I'm stuck in 3 feet of snow, I just finished my bag for this upcoming season. I would love to complete the Taylormade bag, but its hard to take those Vokey's out of the bag. Also just picked up that Kia Ma, love it so far. Hope it works this year...Tell me what you think!

What do you think of the tour preferred heads? What was the angle you were looking for when you bought them? I'm on the fence about getting a set, especially since the price has come down at GG significantly.

I wanted a little lower launch than my tour burners I was hitting before. Definitely more penetrating, but still gives a lot of ball speed, so distance isn't a problem. As for feel, I think they are way better than the new R9 TP's. Plus they look really clean and pure.

Haha, they are only that clean because I put them on less than a month ago. Only been out a couple times because of the snow. Hopefully they stay as good as they look now.

I'm in Norristown. Was at Gwynedd Mercy College last year and was going to play for their team (DIII) but ended up not being able to afford it and changing my major to something not offered there, so now I'm at Montgomery County Community College for at least through the end of this semester. No golf team here.

aj, do you guys play Chestnut Hill College at all? I'm looking at moving on to there. They play over at Whitemarsh Valley CC this year and I've heard that track is just awesome. I'm seriously considering it if the academics work out.

We play Chestnut Hill like once a week lol. We haven't played at Whitemarsh yet, but I think we do this spring. We play out of The Ace Club in Lafayette Hill (I guess they like coming to our course) The teams we mainly play are University of Sciences, Chestnut Hill, Swarthmore College, Wilmington University, Rutgers Camden (tournaments), Stockton College. Lotta schools around that need help with young talent. Our program wasn't looking too good. We got a new Coach, new course, and our starting 5 is 1 senior (Captain) and 4 sophomores, with 2 soph. alternates and 2 freshman. We are young, and most programs are looking to do similar things. Definitely check out schools in CACC (our conference) easy schools to get into, usually will give some scholarship money if you can play.
