Will it last the season?

Hey all!

So I've never done a WITB thread, so I thought I'd do one for the beginning of my 2010 season! It's still cold here, but hopefully I'll have a chance to play within the next couple of weeks!


Here's the bag! G10 Edition Ping Hoofer Vantage bought 2009. Has a Frogger Amphibian Towel, Frogger BrushPro and a Bushnell V2 hanging off it!




Here's everything in the bag!




First up, clubwise, is my brand-spanking-new Ping G15 with the Aldila Serrano, bought last week. Love the look at address, can't wait to game it!!





OK, next up is the Ping G15 3w with the Aldila Serrano, also bought last week. Again, hit it great on the sim, can't wait to put it in play!




OK, on to the hybrid: the Nike Machspeed with AXIVCore. Picked it up a month or so ago, and haven't had a chance to hit it outside yet (notice a trend?). Feels absolutely great off the face though!




My irons are VR full cavities, from 4 to AW, which I bought in 2009. I really like them! Both the feel and forgiveness are great, which I need as an improving golfer! They also have excellent spin capabilities (obviously not conforming, but who cares...I'm definitely not a pro!). Here's the 7-iron!




I picked up the matching VR wedges (54.12 and 58.10) last year. Coming from cavity back wedges, they took a little getting used to, but now I absolutely love them!




Finally, the pride of my collection (as I love putters, and it's my first Cameron!) is my new Cameron Circa 62 #3. I got it used for $150, and, while it may have some small dings, I love it to death! At the end of this season, I'm firing it off to the Custom Shop for a Pro-Platinum finish!












That's it for clubs folks! This year ballwise, I'm trying out the Nike Speed Vapor, as it has a nice combo of straightening and distance capabilities, with pretty good spin. I apologize for the kitchen "motif", but it's the best place for light!

A very nice bag! I really like the VR full cavity irons. Very nice design and quite handsome with the black in the cavity. A good iron that could be played by most anyone - scratch to mid/high handicap.

Thanks fellas! Ya, I really like the full cavities. I'm definitely a club ho extraordinaire, but the subtle look and forgiveness of these will make it tough for them to be knocked out of the bag! I honestly don't know what Golf Digest was saying when they called out the VR line last year for their lack of "visual pizazz".

I can't wait for the custom shop! I already know EXACTLY what I want done...I'll post some pics at the end of the year when it's done!

That's a good call...my only issue is that I LOVE this ping bag!!! If I ever come across a Nike bag as pimpin' and comfy as this Ping one, It'll be a done deal!

personally I think that is a great set up.

you have clearly thought about the clubs you want and Ive always been a fan of the circa range of putters.

nice setup! I like the bag,does it have plenty of space on top? my titliest bag is small so the clubs get jammed up.

Thanks! I actually already have made a couple of small changes. I'm now alternating between the Circa and the Kombi-S and I had to get some new shafts. I've taken some lessons and, as a result of my better posture and weight transfer, my SS has gone up about 10MPH, so I'm switching from regular to stiff shafts.

Thanks Dave! Ya, my last set I had for 10 years, and now I'm hoping that, with the exception of the above changes, I can hold on to pretty much everything for some time! I love the look of the Circa as well, but I may be using the Kombi-S more, as the face-weighted head better suits my straight-back-straight-forth swing.

Thanks! Ya, the bag isn't bad at all on top. I will occasionally have an issue with the grips getting a bit tangled at the bottom, but those times are few and far between...I really like this bag! Great for walking the course!

It's hooked through the regular plastic loop, plus I have a small metal carabiner through the belt loop for extra security.
