Ok, so this is half a just for fun and half for real, mostly just because I really really want to play! Arby's is hosting on of their Charity Tour events at Firestone South in Akron, OH on August 16th, 2010 to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland. The cost is $750 per person or $3000 for a 4-some. http://www.arbysfoundation.org/charity-tour/view/cle10/ I grew up in Northeast Ohio and have wanted to play Firestone South for as long as I can remember! I now live in Los Angeles but will, by wonderful chance, be in Ohio in August for my highschool class reunion. I'm bringing my friend along with me who is one of the members of the newly formed First Tee chapter in Los Angeles. We are planning to play a few of the courses I played growing up, just for nostalgia and because it's way cheaper than L.A. golf. If you'd be willing to sponsor a team fo 4, you can play, bring a friend, and we will play on your team. The format is modified scramble so you play from the best tee shot, I garauntee you that we will have you in position A on every fairway!

Just maybe there is someone out there with the means to helps us out. Maybe you're a company looking for some advertising opportunities. Maybe you're a golf gadget company, if you sponsor high enough level you can put your merchandise in the swag bag they give out. I'm not sure on tax information, but since it's for charity I can only assume it's deductable. There are multiple levels of sponsorship if you would like to have more spots or have a larger sponsors role. If anything else, and noone can help me out, at least I got the word out to the GolfWRX community that this tour exists and there is a way to play some of those private courses people always dream of playing.
