Course playing tips websites?

greenskeepr.org for texas?

I've been working in California the last few weeks, and they have greenskeeper.org where people post hole by hole tips, anything exist like this for Texas? Have a few rounds at Pine Dunes in Frankston at the end of the month, and I find so few postings and so little information about it.

There used to be (may still be?) a magazine caled Texas Golfer Magazine that would give an overview of a different course each issue. Also, I know that Avid Golfer has a Dallas version that does the same from time to time. Just search "(course name) Texas golfer magazine" and there should be something. Also, I've found Google Earth to be helpful because you can use the measure tool and get approximate distances when no other info is available.

I used to go to greenskeeper.org daily when I lived in the OC. Nothing like it here in TX.

You will love the layout at Pine Dunes, fast greens, coarse grained bunkers are not so good, but otherwise great golf experience. Driving range and huge chipping/putting greens are a bonus. Just be ready for some really dry conditions. I wouldn't mind driving hrs to play there. It's that good.

Greenskeepr.org is a super website. I use it to help plan my trips to Cal. I am not aware of a site like it for other parts of the country. I wish there was.
