Grafalloy Bi-Matrix

Anyone hit it yet???

I'm thinking about putting the new Bi-Matrix in my 905R and I wanted to see if anyone has had any experienc with it yet. Any info wouldbe great.

My clubfitter just called and said my driver is done. Had the Bi-Matrix Proto stiff installed in my Launcher Comp 10.5º. I'm gonna hit it this weekend. I'll report back after I've hit it. I'm excited to try it. I hit the Launcher Comp really high with a little too much spin. When I heard about the Bi-Matrix and how it allowed you to hit higher lofts with less spin, I knew I had to try it in this head.

Edit: Well, I picked it up from my clubfitter. I dunno. Seems awfully soft using the highly scinetific "hold and waggle/wiggle" test. He said it flexed around an middle "R" flex going by graphite standards. But, he said being it has the steel tip, going by steel standards it would be considered about S200. I'm not a clubfitter, so I trust he did it right. I guess I'll find out soon enough. I guess soft is fine provided it's still controllable.

got an x flex stuck in SQ and so far so good. Very stiff tip on this puppy which I am loving. Pulled the Diamana 83S out because I thought it was too "floppy" on the tip. I am hitting the ball staighter than ever off the tee but I have only played it for a couple of weeks. I will let ya know more after a couple more rounds.

ANy idea what the X flexed out to? Did it seem soft to you at first? Mine is the stiff flex and I swing around 105 these days.

I am also anxious to hear how the x flex biMatrix peforms, if you can compare it against the ust v2 75x that would be most helpful, but any info you have on the x flex I'll appreciate.

Im playing the Stiff Prototype Bimatrx Flex in a Nike SQ Max and it is pretty nice. Only played it a few rounds however. I haven't really given it a fair run as I primarily carry the SQ Tour with a Grafalloy Comp NT Prototype in it and I love that combo so far. Just can't bump it out just yet. I do plan on giving the bimatrx/Sq max some more pt this weekend.

I do absolutely love the Stiff Prototype Bimatrx FW shaft that I have in my Nike T60 3 wood. Its is amazing. One of the best shaft/head combos that I have ever played. Great control and distance.

I have no clue what it plays to and no it never felt soft. I have a swing speed in the 108-112 range and it so far feels the best of any shaft I have played. I have played mostly stiff shafts tipped and I am just now moving to X flexes. I will try to give better info after I have played a few more rounds with it.

I played it today for the first time. I had pretty good control with it, which is saying something, 'cause my driving has stunk of late. It definitely feels softer that Grafalloy's other products. Loads very easily. Good stability due to the steel tip however. I launched fairly high for me, but I got a good kick forward after the ball landed. The high launch is likely due to the launcher comp 10.5º head though. To answer the question though: No, it was not too soft, but I have a pretty smooth tempo. I think I probably could have went with the X flex, even with my "paltry" 105 MPH swing speed. :D

I finally played a round with my Sq max 9.5* today with the Grafalloy Prototype Bimatrx and played pretty well with it. The Stiff flex seemed a hair light to me (avg 115 mph swing speed) but it was nice. Never felt right hitting an X flex even though my pro says I should. I think I might like the shaft a little better in the SQ Tour model. Feel with this head/shaft combo didn't seem the greatest but preformance was quite good but this is comming from a guy that loves the Sq Tour with the Comp NT shaft. Distance was about the same. I hit it 10 times thru 27 holes and hit 7 fairways and averaged 290 on the fairway hits. I think its just different to me trying it in a head that I haven't played. The SQ Max is a beast and the shaft handled it pretty good. Gonna give the shaft a try in an SQ Tour in the next few weeks. My misses with it seem to be a high push but I don't blame that on anything but my swing. All in all, a very nice shaft and a fair price.

well it looks like im gonna order up a pink X-flex to throw in the 905R. the V2 is a great shaft but still too soft for me. i average around 110-115 and i just overpower the shaft. i think i may swap the v2 into my v-steel because the S-flex is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to soft for me even tipped.

Got mine from Golfsmith a few weeks back but there are a bunch on Ebay. Might try that.

I orderd my X flex from Golfsmith on May 25th and it was on backorder. I just got an email that it was shipped today June 5 so I expect to get mine in a couple of days.
