RTJ trip in august

Cambian ridge and capitol hill

We have a group of about 10 planning to head to RTJ in august. We are coming from New Orleans and are going to take advatage of one of there 3-day unlimited golf specials. So far it looks like we will stop in greenville at cambian ridge an play all three 9 hole courses and then head to capitol hill in prattville and play the judge and the senator on saturday. As far as sunday goes I was thinking of playing judge and legislator to finish up.

Has anyone played any of these courses lately? Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

I played all three courses in Prattville last Summer, a couple of weeks before the LPGA played the Senator. All 3 were in great shape. I enjoyed the Senator much more than the other 2, seemed a more fair test of golf. The Judge is an absolute beast. We played the 3rd set of tees and it was still almost 7100 yds. The Legislator is much more tame than the others, and after you play the Judge, you'll probably feel much better about your game here. Ideally, I would play the Senator in the a.m. both days, the fairways are a more forgiving, and the greens a little larger...a good place to warm up (still long though). Then, play the Judge in the afternoon. The Legislator is kinda forgettable compared to the others.

Ditto the Pratville courses - all are great. The ones near birmingham are also good, but busy. Ross Bridge is expensive, but a treat. The ones near Florence (northern AL) are also great

Just got back from muscle shoals and hampton cove. Both courses at muscle shoals were awesome and in awesome condition. Hampton cove was just in good shape. All of us preferred Muscle Shoals.

Talked to one of the kids there that just got back from playing every course on the trail and he said the Judge in Prattville was the best course on the trail. We are going to hit Prattville on our trip next year.

We did the exact same thing last year with the same courses. We also are from the New Orleans area. Cambridge Ridge was awesome. When you get to Capitol Hill, I would play the Judge one morning and the Senator another morning. Completly different courses but are fantastic. We are trying to set up another trip, hopefully it happens.

Played the Legislator Monday. Greens were punched, not good, but you'll be fine by August. I'd check their schedule for that just in case.

Just got back Sunday from the RTJ trail. Had a blast. Played Oxmoor Valley Ridge, Judge (greens were sandy), Senator (cannot believe that course is right next to the judge), Grand National Links & Lakes then played Silver Lakes Heart, Mind, and Back breakers. I will tell you that it was EXTREMELY hot and humid. I am from the Midwest so I am not used to that kind of humidity also not much wind. Would definitely do it again though. Have fun.
