I hit a fade with my r7 425

how do i set up the weights to where i get rid of my fade. I am right handed. Please tell me which config of weights to put it in, example, Neutral, draw, more draw, fade, more fade. i want to get rid of the fade

i just want to hit it straight, and have been told that if i put the weights in the correct place, the club will do the work for me

Unfortunately, the R7 doesnt do ALL the work, but a more draw bias comes from putting the heavier weights toward the heel. From my experience, the movable weights only make a noticable difference when used by someone with a very repeatable swing.

The draw set up is the 12g weight in the heel positions, but as mentioned the trajectory change isn't that big.

 

If you really want to get rid of a draw you'd have to do swing changes or try something like the Cobra F Speed or an offset driver.

Might also be something to do with the shaft. As far as I'm aware the Fuji TM REAX shaft is tip stiff so it might exacerbate your fade (although I might be wrong, so I stand corrected if I am). Having hit the R7 in a couple of different guises, it doesn't do it all for you - the moveable weights concept is a bit overrated IMO. Haven't been able to bring myself to buy an R7, as it just doesn't work - for me anyway. If in doubt - position the ball in line with your left big toe and draw your right foot back a little bit and keep your head behind the ball - better to re-position your own weight than rely on a club to cure an unwanted fade.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but this is exactly why the R5/R7 drivers are such great marketing tools for Taylormade. It's ultimately sending the message to players "buy this expensive driver and cure your swing faults." As mentioned above, unless you are an accurate ball striker on a consistant basis, the driver isn't going to do a whole lot.
