Just arrived from a 2 week excursion to Dom Rep and Puerto Rico

 

 

Dom Rep - Corales and Punta Espada are the best golf courses in the carribean. Expensive but very well worth it. Playa Grande is a fantastic layout but conditions are pretty bad. They are re-doing the entire course and it should be very good once they are done. Ro KiKi is a wonderful location but the course is a complete POS !!!. Wasted money. La Cana is a good course going thru some maintenance at this point but the layout is very challenging.

 

Puerto Rico - El Conquistador is the best course in the entire island. The others are difering levels of wasted money and time. The private course is Bahia Mar is very nice but kind of tought to get on unless you can get the hook up. The Trump course while nice in its layout not worth the 200 usd I paid.

 

Please do not bypass the chance to play in Corales and Punta Espada you will never forget it.

Bummer to hear about Playa Grande being redone because I'm going back to the DR soon and I wanted to get a few rounds in there. Maybe it's time for me to check out Playa Dorada.

Costa Caribe in Ponce is definitely a place to check out.

Trump National in Puerto Rico is top shelf!

Service and conditions were first class as one would expect. Hard to find any divots in the fairways. About 4 groups on the entire course when I play over the summer.

Play it if you can, the championship course from the tips is ridiculous, like 7800 yrds!
Move one or two box's up if you really want to enjoy the day.
