Southeast Michigan cash scrambles????

where are they

Does anyone know of any cash scrambles in southeastern Michigan? I know there is one at Moose Ridge and Huntmore but I was wondering if there are any others that you know of.Thanks.

There is a three man scramble at Fern Hill. 3500 first place.

Another three man scramble at Copper Hills. don't know the payout.

There are money games every Thursday at Black lake in port Huron, but individual.

I will keep my ears open for more. You can always check out the golfnow.com two man scrambles. Not a lot of cash, but good golf trips to northern Michigan as prizes.

Let me know if you hear of anymore as well. The one at moose ridge is supposed to be good and tough. Really want to play in that one, but I need to build my team first, plus the entry fee is a little stiff but worth it if you can finish in the money.

i no longer live down there,(so i'm not sure if it is still happening) but there used to be a pretty good one at Sycamore Hills also

Thats for the info. There is also one at Leslie Park in Ann Arbor which is a 3 man scramble. You can find info on the Miles of Golf or the Leslie Park websites. The bigger problem with the Moose Ridge event other than the cost is that the greens are pretty beat this year. Its hard to pay that much for an outing on crap greens. Its pretty unfortunate because Moose Ridge is a great layout, actually one of my favorites in SE Michigan. I live close to the course but the greens have kept me away lately.

Actually there is a good one at Rackham GC (next to the zoo) on October 3rd. It's a 4-man, teams paired by blind draw. $400 entry/team and optional $80/team skins. Also paying out $100 cash on all par 3's closest to's. It is a charity outing to benefit The First Tee of Detroit. You can register online at www.thefirstteedetroit.org limited to the first 36 teams that register, expecting a full field for this one.

I used to play that Leslie Park scramble every year when I lived in Michigan, we won it once or twice too. I don't remember that the payout was all that high though....

I always like that course for some reason, good, fun, but still a bit of a test for a municipal layout IMO....

I'm playing in a 4-man scramble at Bald Mtn in Auburn hills on Sept 25th Based upon 36 teams ......I think 3500$ for first place. You are also allowed 1 CLUB pro. For this tournament you MUST bring your "A" game because teams go LOW there. There is also a 2-man at Black river on Sept. 17th.

There is a 2-man scramble at Devil's Ridge this Sunday. If you have a partner you better get a spot because this one fills up fast. They usually have about 50 or so teams and and 9-10 under usually wins it. Only one pro is allowed and he must be a teaching pro.
