Headed to Vegas this weekend playing TPC LV & HIghland Falls

People who have played these courses…what can I expect? Any tips?

TPC - Great course that is tough, no matter what tee's your are playing you have to try and hit the fairway from the tips on Hole 3! Great desert target golf with some blind shots, always in top condition and the greens are always perfect.

 

Highland Falls has some of the best views in town and a very good grass driving range! Unfortunately, that's about the end of anything great there. Greens are usually pretty weak, they are as good as it gets now though, but it has had some real issues in the past and the fairways have some issues going on as well. Its a fair course in a retirement community (Sun City). Its usually a good value for the money, but average at best golf experience.

Bombn is spot on about both courses. TPC Las Vegas usually has fast greens so definately spend some time on the practice green prior to teeing off. Bring extra balls because if you go wide, it's gone. Teeing off from #2 is an adventure to say the least, I won't spoil it. When you get to #14, aim for the steeple of the church. One last piece of advice, when you come off the green of 18 watch out for the rabbits while driving. The last time we played there one darted out in front of our cart and let's just say he didn't make it.

 

Highland Falls is an hilly course, nothing challenging about it. Just got to watch out for the false front on #9 IIRC. #14 gives the panoramic view of the Strip which is a good camera shot. As long as you're straight you'll be fine.
