No upcharge Ventus Black

If you are looking for a no upcharge Ventus Black 6/7/8 stiff or xs i recommend you go on tgw and customize either an Ai Smoke driver or Fairwaywood.

Its showing $349 when you choose the Ventus Black 8x, not the tr version or the one stating velocore.

No, but as soon as we are, I am buying one.  It does show a picture of velocore when you add the black $0 option

You can never be sure of anything in life, but please show me a non velocore black, as it has never been seen before and i don’t think fujikura will start producing a version now that the Og black has been replaced by the TR and soon Velocore+

IMO that's probably right about when Fujikura would do that. The non+ becomes the watered down brand perfect as a made-for version. Plus Callaway seems to like made-for shafts it seems these days. 

 

But, totally get what you're saying. I don't think we've seen them in the wild yet.

im aware there are non velo versions. im too lazy/dont know how to attach images but if you build it, the thumbnail shows a blue velocore shaft just like the photo of the black already posted

It's shipping directly from Callaway, not from TGW, would be interesting to see how it plays out. For the first time in a while I am going to resist the temptation to find out.... Hahaha.

TGW has had multiple 'free upcharge' shaft 'oopsies' over the years and they always ship them and it's always the real version.

 

Once it was TSi2 clubs and tour AD shafts, then it was Epic Super Hybrids and free Trono shafts, etc. So this isnt outlandish to think that you'll get a real VB.

I think he's right AND its not just the black. I think the Blue and Red are all VELOCORE and real deal.

 

1) There is no ventus blue 8 "non velocore" (from anyone) [not shown in this pic but its in the dropdown for the smoke max fairways]

2) There is no ventus Red 7 "non velocore" (from callaway for sure)

3) There is no ventus red or black non-velocore carried by Callaway (TM only) [callaway IIRC DOES as of 2024 do the TR non-velo, though]

4) There is no ventus black non-velocore at all

5) There is no ventus red or black listed on callawaygolf.com as non-velocore for sale and not $450 under shafts

6) There is no ventus red or black or blue 8 listed on callawaypreowned.com under shafts for sale at all, either

 

I think all of those $0 shafts are all velocore models but I've been wrong before

What is the longest I can get the fairway shaft? Would it average about .5" shorter playing length in a driver?

If you order a 3 wood with + 1 3/4” i would guess it plays 45,5 with a driver adapter since the fw adapter is about 1/2” shorter.

Already did exactly this as that was my calculation as well. If it works out I owe you a beer w/Velocore. 😄
