I was under the impression Callaway doesn't do any tipping unless you specifically requested. Will be interesting to see what the 5W I ordered looks like, I requested .5"

Callaway 100% tips standard: .5" 3w .75" 5w and 1" 7w etc. If you specify tipping even with a rep on the phone there's a special way they have to do it or else itll be ADDITIONAL tip over stock tipping.

 

Looks like you got 2" tip which is 1" over the 1" standard.

I placed my order (5 and 7, red 7s) on April 17. Still says “In process” on tgw. For those that have received their order, how long did it take, and did the tgw order tracker ever change? I seem to remember ordering a club through them before and it never changed from “in process” and the club just showed up (when shipped direct from the manufacturer)

When i booked it took about 5 business fays before it went from ordered to prosessed. Then it whent about a week before i got the shipment tracking from Callaway.

placed my order for driver with black 6s on 4/19. About an hour later it went into processing. Received a tracking number on 4/26 but just shows label created.

Odd that the driver & 3w I ordered from Callaway directly shipped from Mexico next day and the TGW order for same clubs with ventus are shipping from Dallas Texas per the fedex tracking.

I, too, relented and have a non-TD 3 wood with the same Red 7X on order. Hopefully it's a Velocore and is built/delivered quicker than has been the case with a few based on recent reports.

Don’t know when mines comin or if it will be worth the deal. But like any good WRXer, I’ve already sold my 3 wood and had to dig around in the basement for my old ping G400 Stretch 3 to hold me over.  Set it to big +, cut it down, new grip and a bit of lead tape and of course I’m hittin this old Ping Stretch better than anything I’ve had in the last couple of years. 🤣

I was in a similar boat - it went from processing to label printed on the 25th, then no change until today when it updated to delivery due on Weds. I ordered on 4/17

Not really that strange, IMO. 

 

They build them in Mexico, but their shipping operation is in Dallas. They show the label generated there, but once it starts tracking, it most likely won't touch Dallas. 

 

My 3w hit just outside Houston.... As close as it got. We'll see where the driver goes. 😁 Label generated.

Is this only working with the Black Ventus?  Any luck  getting the upgrade if you select Ventus Red or Blue? I'm assuming no, since there are clear "velocore" options with an upcharge on those two shafts.

Yes they are also velocore in the +$0 options so far. Read up a few posts.
