Rio Secco or Coyote Springs

Heading to Vegas next week. Will be playing Paiute Wolf and either Sun or Snow. For the second day I am debating between Rio Secco or Coyote Springs.

 

I am a 4 handicap.

 

Any suggestion?

I've played both and much prefer Chase at Coyote Springs. The only advantage to Rio Secco is that it is not as far to drive. Rio Secco is a tough fairly tight course, it has a lot of housing. I thought that the Chase was prettier, more interesting and more fun. I plyed with three single digit handicappers at the Chase and they loved it. I didn't have my camera with me at Rio Secco, but here are photos of the Chase at Coyote

The course at paiute are a great choice. They are among my favorite Vegas courses. Here are some pix of Paiute:

Coyote springs 100%, rio secco is a good course, but nothing special.

Only bummer about Coyote Springs is the drive, and the fact there is NOTHING there, no food, no nothing. But they do have a nice golf course

What shape are they in? Overseeding and aeration make for poor play in Vegas this time of year, head to Pahrump and play Mountain Falls or go to Sandhollow in St. George.

Play Coyote (or Paiute) but I love Coyote Springs for the challenge (fair and diverse) but it is in the middle of now where...desert scrub brush then waterfalls and greens!! Sort of surprises you!

For me it has been worth it every time!

I just called Coyote Springs, the overseeding went well and the course is supposed to be in great shape! Wish I could fit it into my plans as it is closed on tuesday and wednesday and has a tourney on next Saturday.

I just got a tee time for next Saturday, tourney is to be done by noon!
