Sam - I was going to play at Greatwood Friday morning around 8 or so. I have to work at 2, so its my only option if I want to play a full 18.

BTW, in case anyone was wondering (coughkirancough), early line on the big matchup in SA Saturday is A&M -27. I think we can handle that. :D

Of course we can spot you 27 points, we are steeped in an extra 100 years of military tradition and honor :D

I'll bet there are a lot of folks who have spent time in both places, in all honesty. I know quite a few people who upon graduation from A&M went onto careers in the "real" military.

A friend called meyesterday and said he had two tickets if I wanted to go. Damned Walgreen's. :cheesy:

That is true, ANYONE who chooses a career of serving this country wether they come from enlisted ranks, ROTC, OCS, Coast Guard, Air Force, Marines, and heck even NAVY, are class acts in my book! :cheesy:

Sam,

Did you play the Rawls course on your travels...if so what were your thoughts?

Wade

Yes it was fantastic. I enjoyed it as much as Castle Pines. It was very wet so it made the greens very receptive. It must be brute with dry greens.

Doak did an amazing job turning a flat cotton field into that course, I was a little disappointed in the rough, I think they did their best to grow grass in the "native areas" of the course but after three years it just looks like they are going to let the native scrub brush go in those areas. No comments about the cart girl?

Kiran,

You ever read American Caesar?

Sam,

Yes, I have. Good book although I don't necessairly agree with Manchester's perspective in all cases. Definately a well written book though.

It was a well written book but I didn't agree with many of his views either.

The cart girl? She was a normal college girl, good looking but can't hang with anything on the UT Campus.

Ok, I played up there twice and they had two different cart girls, one I would agree with you on, the other one you would have said something...she had a couple of things going for her! As far as Tech girls vs. UT girls, I will stick with the South Plains, but thats just my preference. What the hell do I know anyway, I married a Cougar!

I was screwing around checking out some of the shops on 1960 today and have my recon report. Golf Galaxy at Willowbrook just dropped in my book, I hate to say anything bad but I know the guy doing the clubwork and the word butcher would be putting it nice. Edwin Watts had some nice stuff as usual but was lacking in the shirt department. I also stopped by Saul Sellinger's Classic 3 and he has a great selection of used stuff. If your in the area it's worth checking out. Joe's (old Golf & Tennis) at Champions has lots of good stuff as usual, including the best selection of Nickent stuff in town. I was upset with the lack of Bridgestone though they had quite a bit of Tourstage.

Kiran I hope you guys win. Of course I can now see the steam coming out of Rick's ears but I always cheer for the academies.

I'd love that too, but honestly, they've got a snowball's chance in hell on a hot summers day.

It's too tough to attract athletes to service academies, why would you go to a school where you have to wake up at five thirty every day, spend you summers in ACU's training for combat, have to go to class every day, and get zero special breaks just to get overlooked by every agent, team, and coach in the NFL. Oh, and there's a couple of little conflicts going on overseas. Don't get me started on "Hudson hips" of the female cadets.

If I were an athlete I'd definatley be at A&M or UT. Heck A&M's siren song even lured me in. . . :cheesy:

Kiran don't be down on the academies. You will sound like Keith and how much he hated going to Air Force.

Don't worry about that, the four years of my life I spent there were the BEST years of my life. I'd give my right eye to do it over again.

I'm just down on Army athletics. . . :cheesy:

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
