Yeah I was thinking the FT-3 or the Hibore. I like the Prolaunch shaft since I am typically a low ball hitter. I am wanting to try the FT-3 from all the great reviews how almost every one says it comes off the face hotter than any other driver. I am wanting to try the Hibore because I tend to hit a little lower on the face. But I've heard that the Hibore/Prolaunch combo fills dead. Anybody got any experience with either driver with the Prolaunch?

Not that this is the answer you were looking for, but I was just gonna tell ya that I recently got the FT-3 Fusion driver and it is GREAT! Sure, it sounds a little weird at first, but you learn to love it. I got the Tour model too, because I already played a sweeping draw with my old Cobra, which has a slightly offset face to begin with. As far as a shaft, I couldn't tell ya much about the ProLaunch, but I have the Aldila NVS 75 Stiff in mine, and it works great! Good luck to ya!

I bought an FT-3 about a month ago. So far it's a pretty good club. I you are looking for a high launching club, you are going to have to go up in loft. The FT-3 hits the ball pretty low. I am a high ball hitter and had to go with a 10*. I normally play 8.5 or 9*. I ended up getting the V2 in mine.

I would highly suggest that you go through the opti-fit system. I went through it three times before I finally went with the V2. My experience was that the right shaft head combination will make a world of difference, perhaps more so that any other club. If your already a low ball hitter, you will eliminate most of the shaft combinations. Also I wouldn't necessasrily go with the tour. The fade/draw/neutral head combinations work very well in this club in tour and non-tour heads. Try them both.

Best of luck. It really is a great club.

The FT-3 Tour is not the highest launching head out there so be sure to go with enough loft if you are looking for a trajectory boost. It's worth seeking out the Optifit system. I went through the process recently and wound up with a 10.5 N/YS-6+ S. The results are spectacular. I'm getting distance, accuracy, workability and forgiveness all in one driver.

I love the FT-3, however I believe that there are better shaft options available than the Prolaunch.

Ranking them in order for your stated needs.

1. Fuji Speeder 553

2. " " 569

3. Mitsi Bassara

4. V2

For those of you that have not hit the FT-3 with a lighter shaft like the 553, you don't know what you are missing. Although I like a heavier shaft for control, the FT-3 with the 553 has speed to burn.

I agree, it is not the highest launching head. I should have gone with a 10.5, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on the 9.5 with 757 X. I love the 757. :drinks: Really it must be one of the best drivers out there. I demo'd the 425 TP and thought it felt dead and didn't like it at all. I had a 9.5 Cleveland Comp with a V2 65 X which I also like, but has a MUCH higher ball flight.

I was wondering how the Graffaloy Prolaunch plays in the Ft-3. I am looking for a driver that launches it higher than some and saw that a few people here was playing this combo. I am thinking of the FT-3 Tour since it is .5 open and my misses are hooks and never slices. Any thoughts?

YOu need to let us know what shaft are you comparing it to launch higher.

MOst shaft on retail store are w/ NVS which suppose to launch the ball higher already. If you do need to launch it higher than the NVS in it, than most likely you need a higher loft.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I haven't hit an FT-3 with a prolaunch but I was just considering it because I need a higher launching shaft. I would love to get fit with the Opticart but I don't know of anywhere around that has one. I live in Arkansas if anyone could help me find one that one be great. I havent hit the NVS in the FT-3 but I just thought that the Prolaunch was a little bit higher. I am going with a 10.5. The Speeder shafts that someone mentioned are knew to me. I just couldn't think of any others than the Prolaunch. So if anybody could help me with where to find the OptiCart would be great or advice on any shaft that has a low kickpoint.

I have the Prolaunch 65S and I can't complain. I would probably try a Diamana of Fuji if I could afford one right now, but the Prolaunch isn't a bad low cost option at all IMO.

I currently play the combo you are looking at. I do not hit this overly high at all. When struck well it is a very nice, mid-boring flight even with the Pro Launch. Keep in mind the FT-3 CG location is relatively high compared to other drivers so it's flight is low IMO. I probably should not be playing the Tour model on a 12.4 index but I CANNOT STAND CLOSED FACED CLUBS !! The Tour is much more appealing to my eye & therefore I hit it better than the regular (which I tried first). I have eliminated the left side of every course but sometimes to a fault. My misses are right, but when flushed this club is absurd long. Good luck
