Seller is a brand new member with zero feedback - I wouldn't touch this.

 

He also doesn't say much about the club. If you were truly a golf enthusiast and somehow got your hands on a one of a kind club like this, you'd think you'd say more to push this club...

I was thinking the exact same thing. It sounds too good to be true! Especially for the price it is going for. Youd think he would ask for a little more cash.

I think the seller is legit. Most eBay fraud sellers will just copy an old auction. This guy has just enough details to make me think its legit: shaft info, pics, etc. Zero feedback is a red flag for sure, but everyone had zero feedback at one point. So who knows. I would proceed with caution.

It was one of the protos that was tested out on the tour along with the 905T and S. According to the USGA website it's 373cc's, so nowhere near 460cc's. The guys on the tour preferred the T and S, so the Z was dumped.

Its a blown up version of the 905s. The 905r is a blown up version of the 905t.

How disappointed do you think the winning bidder is going to be when he gets this stick thinking it's 460cc's?! Definitely 373cc's according to the USGA conforming list website.

 

If you re-read the auction the seller states: "The head looks approximately 460ccs in size."

 

This auction really shows that you have to do your homework before you plop down the big bucks! Thank goodness for GolfWRX!!

 

...so with that said, anyone wanna buy a Titleist 983K for $800!?? The head looks aprox 460cc's in size :drinks:

I was watching that auction, but it was on last week, auction was suddenly ended, then driver reappeared this week like nothing happened.

 

I dont know what is going on, but i was interested in buying it until the auction game started.

I noticed that too! I think his original BIN price was something like $1500.

i think it can be best described as sort of a transition club between the 983 series and the 905 series. it is the size of the 983s but it has the design of the 905s.

Yes, many drivers are not the same size as they are marketed as. The 905T is actually 402 cc and the 905S is 395 cc, yet they are both marketed as 400 cc.

I dont think its a type of R as the weighting is in the same place as the S and the T
