Ball wear marks on face

Just watched a program with Tom kite on the golf channel and on his wedges he had a perfect ball mark in the middle. This got me interested in seeing all yours!

I heard fred couples has them on all his irons but slightly out the toe to get his awesome draw!

Unfortunatley i am not consistent enough to have any so i have nothing to show!

Here are mine on my wedges.

 

The 55 is new, so it's just being broken in.

 

The 60 lob wedge is a little bigger than it usually is since I practiced out of a bunker with it last time . . . :man_in_love:

 

My irons are stainless, so they don't make the same marks as the carbon steel . . . ;)

FYI - to dirgress Fred Couples is not really known for his "awesome draw" If you watch him he sets up open and generally plays a fade with the driver and plays a more subltle fade but fairly straight and high trajectory irons.

 

To be sure, I'm sure Fred he can draw it a new one anytime he wants, but his normal shot is not an "awesome draw."

I saw that programme with Tom Kite, the strike marks were very impressive. Either he is practicing for hours every day or he's not changed his wedges in a long time, probably the latter.

 

I guess the reason why most other pros don't have such obvious strike marks is because they change their clubs a lot to keep them new.

 

Also agree with the Couples comment, i am pretty sure he has always been a natural fader of the ball

Sorry to offend anyone with regards the fred couples comment. Anyone remember that shot in the trees at the master this year on ten (i think). That was an awesome draw.
