I purchased a BB25 last spring and it became my regular putter around last August. The black finish holds up well, after 40+ rounds the only notice of wear is slight "lightening" along the edges of the sole. No special care required as far as I can tell, as opposed to the Studio Stock line which must be oiled and will rust. The feel is more firm on these as compared to a Studio Stock or Studio Select in my opinion, but not as firm as a Karsten series.

The BB series is plated but still carbon steel so feel is outstanding. The finish is quite durable. Get it while you can because they are very limited production items and this finish was not repeated for 2011. When the new ones are gone that's it... gone.

Nothing left in the 2010 line at the factory. I use a carbon steel BB5 finished in black oxide and IMO the plated no maintenance finish feels just as soft. Hope you find one :)

You're right Jimmy, and what's left in the retail channel is going fast as there weren't that many produced in 2010 to begin with. As to feel I agree though many this year have liked my Studio Stock 3C vs. the BB feel but hey everyone is different. One thing is certain I've had a lot of players this past season swing their stainless putter and then try the BB series and each and every one of them came away with one statement, "it feels great."

Had one but sold it. Fantastic quality and great feel and feedback. There is some type of "coating" on top of the plated finish as well - I assume for additional protection from the elements - but don't know what it is comprised of. One thing that was off-putting to me personally was how long heel to toe the putter looks from address, at least it appeared that way to me (I never actually measured it).. perhaps it was an optical illusion because the topline is so thin. Also, the angles are VERY sharp (especially the top line) which is not my preference... I would probably like the BB1 head shape more. Still a great putter and model line.

I have the BB1 and had the BB8. The BB1 is very soft at impact, softer than my Studio Select Newport. The BB8 had a completely different feel and sound. Feel is more crisp and the sound is higher pitched. Might have to due with the larger back cavity. The BB8 toe area is noticeably larger than the heel area from address. The uneven look bothered me and I didn't prefer the feel. Ended up selling the BB8. These probably won't have rusting issues, but a small part of the leading edge rubbed off after two rounds. I love my BB1 but I suggest you try the different models before purchase.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
