Brian Pavlet at the North Coast Golf Show D.C. stop

A few years ago I posted my experience of this golf show and it was amazing. Brian Pavlet was there and after doing his demo, I introduced myself to him and told him I was a member on here. When he saw me over by the little range, he told me to come over and he let me hit some of his drivers which was awesome. It truly was an unforgettable experience. Well, I went back this year and Brian put on a show again. He really knows how to get the crowd into it and he's hilarious. He had some great tips and was really up front about his switch to PING. After watching him, I entered the little long drive competition they have, using launch monitors. The last time I was there, I finished at 301yds. This year, I finished with 343 and all 10 of my drives were over 300yds. I know it's not championship material, but it definitely got me motivated to try out the long drive stuff again. I just wanted to share this story so that if any of you have the chance, you should definitely go and meet Brian.

Oh and in case anyone is wondering, he is using a Ping i15? 8* opened to play 5* with an Aldila RIP shaft. He let me see it, and it is WIDEEEE open haha; no going left!

Went to the golf show in Chicago yesterday. A lot of junk for sale. Some deals on assorted shoes and clubs but no manufacturers represented. They had a test area set up with bags of clubs sorted by mfr but no reps. Cost $6 for a small bucket of balls to hit the clubs.
Saw Brian Pavlet there as well as Mobley. Brian is a class act and talked to him for awhile about his new Ping driver.
They had a long drive tournament. Hit 6 balls for $6. They were giving out an Adams LDA driver, 7.5 loft w/ Jamie Sadloski HOF shaft. Set up at 46". Shaft was probably a stiff.
Won the driver at 331 in the senior divsions on a radar gun they had. Glad I went Sunday because only 1 driver was given our for each the Open & Senior divisions. Open took it at 392. Forgot the name though.
What they did not tell anyone was you had to be there at the close of the show to claim your prize. I came back to get it at 5pm.
The other prizes were unclaimed because I bet they thought they would get a call.

Would have been a waste of time except for winning the driver. Because of the fact that it was 25 degrees yesterday with snow on the ground, It was a good way to waste some time.

Well, they sure didn't tell me I had to be there. I had thought about going back Sunday, but I figured 343 in the open division would get beat for 3rd place. When I left, 383 was first. I knew they were only giving out 1 driver for each division. I was set up to win a set of Adams Tom Watson wedges. Mine are better, but free wedges are free wedges. Ehh, I'll just plan better next year. Congrats on winning.
