Why everybody says it's ugly??

I have been reading about this new Titleist Iron Set and in 90% of the cases performance is very good but... the look is ugly or even disgusting for the back of the irons and its red bar or cavity insert...

I actually like it very much and the red bar is just big on the longest irons, the rest is just a tiny red line!!
And why there are no such complaints on the back design of Callaway X-Tour (have some red line too)?

I wish someone will tell me what makes this club so ugly as I can't really get an idea why... :man_in_love:

For me, it just doesn't seem to match the look that you normally see from Titleist. A look that I've loved for years. They've always had a more classic look to their designs while Callaway has always had some type of emblem. I thought the X tour was a little to garish for my taste too. I would have liked the 775 more if they had stuck to a more classic black color features, black lettering on a satin chrome head.

Like pitbull mentioned, I just think in the more "players" club, you usually dont see flashy add ons like the red bar which is visually dominating IMO. Typically from titleist, irons are much more understated so traditional Titleist buyers may be put off a bit by their look. It could be said that Titleist is going after new buyers that are more accustomed to garish clubs.

Yes, I understand. The only think I still wonder about is that I really like the look of these clubs even I understand the attitude to be conservative of somebody else. This new design actually even recall a bit the bottom of the drivers and FW woods. I like even more the red numbering on the back of the 695 CB and 695MB... that really look stilish!

That give to me the impression that Titleist is coming out by the boring look of its irons and gets on a fresh approach in design. Not a bad thing tho... :man_in_love:
