Start doing power cleans also!

When I read the title, I was worried of what routine would be given, but I'm glad you posted it. I've done it before and I agree with everything you said. I'm tired of seeing everyone's "golf specific" routine, when a simple strength routine will help more. Right now, I just focus on deadlifts, squats, overhead press, and power cleans. Deadlifts have definitely helped the most.

I'd be a little cautious of some of the "routines" you see in this section, but this is definitely a simple and effective routine.

I am bumping this because this routine is outstanding. A friend had me do something similar to this and it led to me killing the ball 7 years ago when I was doing this religiously. Thanks for reminding me of this method.

For the record I'm not an LD guy but since I finally grew a mid and short game I realize how much a solid long game could assist my scoring.

We have a solid weightlifting thread up in the instruction and academy section. Up to around 18 pages now. I'm into powerlifting myself and have gained roughly 5-6 mph of club speed this winter.
