which OEM's do their own? which contract out?

I've heard talk about mizuno, hoffman and endo. what other companies are there? who uses who?

titleist, taylormade, callaway, bridgestone, cleveland, nike.. i'm interested in whatever anyone knows. i know NOTHING about this topic so whatever you got... feed me!

I don't think any OEM does production runs in hours. The majority I believe are done by Endo or Miura in multiple countries in Asia.

From what I understand, Miura no longer OEMs for anyone. They only forge for themselves under their own label.

 

Endo forges for Bridgestone, Tourstage, KZG, Titleist(600 series). They might also forge for MacGrgeor and Cobra.

 

Nike no longer uses Endo but uses a cheaper company in Mexico or China now. If you can find 2004 or older sets of Nike blades they are Endo forged.

 

Most of all the other big name companies that offer retail forgings use a company called Chua(sp?) out of China or foundries in Mexico.

 

Mizuno is the only company that still has 100% control of thier forging process and all their clubs(retail and tour) are forged at the same foundries. The actual foundry that forges Mizunos is not called Mizuno but they only forge for Mizuno and Mizuno controls everything 100%. They might have even bought the company out recently.

 

The only thing I am not sure of is if Miura will still do one offs for the big name PGA players or do very limited runs of "tour Issue" clubs for OEMs.
