'official' posts?

my account says I have 86 active posts but my BST ad doesn't work.

Is there a particular type of post that counts as 'official'?

It is the count listed on the left under your name/avatar above your member number and date joined. Posts in certain forums like 19th hole etc don't count as official posts

if you run up your post count in a strange manner...well that is also not good. Like 75 post in oneday type of thing.

I had a buddy get banned for 3 months on here for post padding. Nice guy in real life but they banned him basically all he wanted to do is sell. But then again its a free place to sell so you should participate in the forums to use the free BST.

I know this thread is old but hopefully someone can shed some light which as to which posts are considered official and go under your name??

Posts made in the 19th hole, forum help, and BST sections do not count towards your official post count.

Upon further review it does look like the whats in the bag section is also included in the forums that dont count towards official post count. To easy just to go post by post with nice bag comments would be my guess.

WITB doesn't count. Pounding 30 threads with "Nice Bag!" just isn't considered contributing.

For those asking, does this mean you aren't going to post in areas where you don't get credit? Just curious what your intentions are with this site.

No I will continue to post everywhere i normally do. I was just wondering because it seemed like I should have had more posts.
