Need Recommendations

GPS to go with my Pinseeker 1500

I see the benefit in knowing layup yardages off the tee, as well as the front and back yardages into the green. When I have those distances, in addition to my rangefinder, I seem to have more confidence in my club selection. Please recommend something that will give me this information without having to pay monthly or yearly dues. Something simply, reliable and durable, and I prefer a one time investment since I have two kids and don't get out as much as I would like. Thank you in advance.

I've got a Bushnell Neo that I use as a supplement to my Nikon 500G laser rangefinder. It is quite inexpensive and you'll probably want to pay their registration fee once to download all the courses that you are interested in ($39, 1 year, limit of 100 courses, but they are yours forever with no more fees to be paid). There are no 'hole views' - you just get front/back/middle and 7 additional layup points. It is quite easy to map your own layup/carry points (which was my primary interest).

It does what I was interested in (I am primarily a laser guy). Note that the device only holds 10 courses, but transfers between the device and a PC is easy.

You might want to take a look at the new Callaway Upro MX due to come out soon. It looks good on paper - might be good everywhere.

i got a garmin approach g5 to compliment my 1500, honestly i dont know if it was worth it, i got it in a trade. ive used it a few times, i really do prefer my rangefinder.

Yeah this is what I was wondering. There are times when I like to have the yardages into the fairways and greens. Not sure if it is worth the money. I am just happy with the clubs in the bag for now, but I still want something new. Decisions, decisions.
