staying behind the ball
6'3" tall, 340 lbs old as the hills, and still as long or longer than the young kids on the local college team.

i have a bad back, L4 and L5 are fusing. a floating chip in my left elbow, enough arthritis in my left knee to make it bigger than my right. and have broke my right hand and wrist in 5 places.

but God do I love this game. icy hot, a lot of advil, and just play thru the hurt.

That is the nice thing about golf. Anyone in any shape or size with most any disabilities can still go out , play and have fun.
I am 51 yrs old, 6'2", 280 and have two herniated disks in my lower back. My left knee is also larger then my right with arthritis. My ring finger has ligament damage and sometimes I get a shooting pain in it on certain shots. There have been days when my back acts up so bad that I walk with a limp and can hardly bend over to put my shoes on. On those days if my buddies and I have a round setup I will still go and play. I have to get down on one knee to put the ball on a tee. The same for aligning up putts and picking the ball out of the cup. On those days usually one of the other guys in the group will offer to grab my ball out of the cup for me to help me out. I have shot some of my best rounds when my back acts up. I think it keeps my tempo better and keeps me from overswinging. I love the game too. I never see myself giving it up no matter how bad off I become.

Can't say I am as big as you all, but can say I still have the strength to card a respectable game; no less, from the big boy tee's. :) I won't go into the ailments resulting from years of sports and other activities. Suffice to say, on chilly and damp mornings I am a 217lb ache. Most days I cope, but, the older I get (60+), the more often those days rear their ugly face, and have me reaching for the pill bottle. :) I wonder what 3 days of golf has in-store for my body this wkend.

@Justaman5, couldn't help but notice you have a spread of 12 between your games. I have encountered a few like sneaky one's like you... lost twice too; but won 3 others. Fortunately one of the 3 wins got all the money back from 2 losses. Me loves this game. I just played 7 days straight - I think that CM song with 7 letters fits, just don't know what it is... :)

PS - I have an acquaintance that's 55, 260lbs - 5'10 - and plays to a 3. Fat guys can play.

Pepper its a Tammy Wynette song from 1968 if that gives you a hint.
It was a no 1 hit.

The Big D is right. But I have taught a few ladies how to play. My latest GF, played college softball, and in leagues up till her 40's. It took me about 6 weeks, but yesterday she was hitting it about 200 yards. So golf isnt all bad, u meet some wonderful people and some bad apples. It is that was in all walks of life.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
