Burner HT vs X22

Which one?

Hey all,

I currently game a set of Burner HT irons that I bought new at dicks, and today I ran across a buddy of mine that has a 1 month old set of Callaway X22's that wants to trade me. I hit the burners ok I guess (I am around a 15). The only reason I would do it because I believe the callaways are worth a bit more than my irons, and I am scared that if I ever lose one of my irons it would be very difficult to get another one due to them only being sold by dicks.

What would you guys do?

I'd get on the deal really fast. The X22s are a much better iron in my opinion. The burner ht are a made for dicks iron, that is likely a cheaper made model.

I hit the callaways real well, but I do like my irons. I am kinda stuck here.

You can buy Burner HT irons anywhere on the internet, not just Dicks, its just an advertising gizmo. Just google Burner HT Irons, if you like the Burners, there is also the Burner Plus, another Dicks so called advertised club, but can be purchased elshwere.



The question to ask yourself is first, have you played the X-22's , there shafts are going to be different and also weighted different , I wouldnt just trade on the sole factor that they cost more, whats more important , club play or price, any club may look good , but do they play good for your personal game play. If they feel good during play and your results are what you want, then make the trade.


But IMHO I wouldnt do it soley on because they cost more, costing more doesnt always equate to making birdies.

Take the X-22's, I game them - they are awesome....one of Callaway's current best irons. I love them, you won't be disappointed.

I am so indecisive. I love my clubs, they look great and feel great, but if these will be better I would do the switch. I partly feel like mine are inconsistent due to the regular shaft in them, but I don't want to shell out 200 for a reshaft.

The callaway's will hold their value longer. Their uniflex shaft plays close to a stiff flex and they feel great. There worth it, the TM's won't be worth much in the future. Your getting a great deal for them!!! Don't hold on to sentimental value to sacrifice performance!!!

I went ahead and traded, but I feel like I didn't do the right thing. I have always been a TM guy and these clubs will be on the bay or in the BST for trade soon.
