Chambers bay on 8/2

im lucky to play chambers bay tomorrow and wondered if its worth lugging a big camera out there or what? I understand there are no carts so might be more of a hassle than its worth? Wut do u guys think?


Took the camera. Was a bit hard to concentrate on the course and take pics, but I managed. Like I said below, greens were absolutely horrible. Course itself is breathtaking.

Was about 78 today and very sunny in bellvue. . I expect similar weather tomorrow.

Are you taking a caddy? If so, just take your camera and carry it... your caddy will deal with the bag.

If no caddy, do you have a 50 pound camera? No? Then just take it anyway... how cumbersome can it be?

Well my cuz said caddys are required? U are right. I guess i can snap away while he carries the bag.

Not 50lbs but its not light either. I shoot with a 5d mkii and heavy glass.

I've never taken a caddy there. I know they recommended I take one my first time, but I didn't really care... I got around great with just the yardage book.

Take your camera, it'll be worth it. It's not Bandon or anything, but it's still scenic - there are some great views. Especially looking down over the entire property. I actually used a few pictures I took as my desktop background for a long time.

Looking forward to the pics man, be sure and post a couple here. Let us know what you thought of the course.

Just got back and lugged the camera on a pullcart. What an amazing place. First time at a links style course. Weather was perfect.

Greens were horrie though. They just sanded so they were all over the place.
Ill post pics in a few days when i get home.

Yeah they take some getting used too...even without the sanding. I caught it once when they were being treated with iron to kill moss. They were black. It was pretty crazy looking.

I always take my DSLR when I play Chambers. It makes my bag heavy, but it's worth it when I remember to snap a couple shots.

Was there Tuesday myself and shot a few. I put the camera away after 4 holes because I was just embarassing myself out there. Things INSTANTLY made a turn for the better after that
