Canada Shipping

Best Option?

I have had nightmare experiences shipping to Canada and also on the receiving end. I just want it to get there fast so I don't have to wait two months to see if the guy received his package or not. What is the best method: USPS Global Priority, or can I ship Express to Canada as well? Also, do I need a special package to be able to include a tracking number and insurance, or can I just use a plain ole brown golf club box? Last time I shipped a belt to Canada, they would not let me get a tracking number because I needed a "special" box. Any answers you can give soon would be appreciated since I am planning on shipping tomorrow...thanks

P.S. With the shipping method plus insurance and tracking, am I looking at around 25 bucks or so?

from friends experiences USPS Global express has seemed to be the best. They've recieved clubs that were shipped 5 days ish.

Depends on where it's coming from and where it's going to ofcourse. But basically works that way. Any of the national courier companies will usually charge a bunch of stupid taxes and whatever. Which won't make the reciever too happy.

I'd probably recommend USPS just because it's easier on everyone. Might take a couple of extra days, but it's the best.

I just shipped a club to Canada. The USPS would not track the item. They said it is not offered. I did delivery confirmation but, that's it.

USPS tracking stops at the border. I send USPS Global priority for best and most economical service. If you go fedex or UPS, it will cost you significantly more. I have not noticed a big delay sending via Global priority. Of course, if you can find a friend near the border, you can ship it to them and then they can drive over and ship it for you.

and as for USPS Global Priority, I don't need a "special" box do I? Their maybe problems shipping a driver length club. For small items, the boxes/pouches are free. I don't remember having to use a "special" box to send a putter.

I've seen things tracked all the way to the door of the shop I work in that were shipped USPS from the states.

I can take awhile longer but like I mentioned it's cheaper on our end being the recievers.

The national carriers are usually the best way if you want to keep it tracked and all that good stuff. Just include some of the costs into the price of the item sold.
