Where to play in Port Saint Lucie?

Simple Q.... I'm playing at PGA Village - both courses. I'm staying at Club Med, so I will play that course also. Where else?

If I can remember, PGA Village has 3 courses. Also there is Cobblestone CC just south of Port Saint Lucie. There is Lost Lake in Hobe Sound (South of Port Saint Lucie) about 20 minutes. But when you play at PGA Village you wont want to leave. Great complex...

CJP - PGA has 2 public and one private. If I am playing the two public, do you think I can talk the pro into letting me play the private also?

This time of year I think your chances are slim

There are 3 courses at PGA Village. The PGA Country Club, the Private Course down the road, makes 4 if you have paid the membership. I doubt you would be able to just call the pro and ask. If you are a member at a club your pro may be able to make a call on your behalf, but I doubt you will be able to just on your own.

The three courses at PGA Village are more than a test though. You may find yourself wanting another crack at the Dye course after playing it.

Just got back... That Dye course at PGA Village was amongst the better (public) courses I have ever played in Florida. The fairways felt like midwest grass, not Florida patchy weeds. The bunker placement was totally Dye...love him or hate him, he makes you think.

I hate hitting a 270 yard drive down the middle and finding out it landed in a bunker that sticks out into the FW - but that's Dye.

Ryder and Wannamaker (Fazio) were also good.

The course at Club Med was OK - but not memorable. It was priced right for what it is.

The courses there are good but you'll pay a premium. I'd go check out golf now and see the courses near by... I was going the the village this year but decided on another place that was easier on the wallet.
