Lamkin EBL 3GEN Pistol Smooth Grip

Im a massive fan of the Pingman and the black & red Studio Design but I'm hoping to re-grip all my other clubs with the new Golf Pride Multi-Compound Whiteouts and dont really want them ending up with lots of black or red marks, so I'm wondering how the Lamkin EBL 3GEN Pistol Smooth Grip compares to these other grips?!?

I had the white EBL 3GEN pistol on a Newport for a while and really liked it. The feel was really nice. The 3GEN material has a unique feel to it. The best way I can describe it is it's like a hybrid between a standard rubber grip and an Iomic.

Totally agree. I've used many many grips on my putters searching for the right one - Winn AVS, Super Stroke Slim and superslim, Pingman, various camerons and even the Machine reverse arch. Recently, I went from the Cameron cord-no-cord to the Pingman to the EBL on my gamer and the EBL is easily the best grip I have ever used. Great feel, doesn't get too dirty too easily and perfect shape. I've since put it on my backup because I like it that much. It's now my Go-To grip.

Ok this might be a stupid question, is the Lamkin as thin as the Pingman and the Studio Design?!?

I think it's fatter but I'm not sure. I put 4 wraps under it so I can't give a good comparison.

No not that thin, definitely a bit thicker. If I remember correctly it weighs about 80g and kinda feels like an Iomic midsize (size-wise), which is a bit smaller than your typical midsize putter grip.For comparison the Pingman and Studio Design weigh 58g. So if you give it a try the swingweight of you putter may feels slightly different since you have an extra 20+ grams of weight at the grip end.

Thanks for the info guys. Think i'll give the grip a try. They aren't too expensive so its not a costly experiment

definitely not thin like a ping man

its definitly thicker but ill say it thicker from the top to middle... and has a bit taper to it

unlike a iomic which doesn't taper as much

When these grips first came out i really liked them alot.. and thought it would be great compromise to an iomic (never really tried iomics then $$$$).... then finally buckled in and got an iomic and havent looked back since... the lamkins don't feel right anymore after using an iomic

the lamkins are a little more roundish to me now after using iomics

but like previos poster said the feel is between standard rubber and an iomic.... and at that pricepoint good buy!

The Lamkin is thicker than a pingman and has more of a pronounced pistol shape to it. It's still thinner than a paddle style putter grip though. As previously mentioned it's a really heavy grip. I liked the shape of the grip a lot but the Lamkin white 3gen material for me got really dirty quickly compared to the golf pride white compound. I think I saw they're making this grip in a black this year also which might be the way to go.
