Tucson Course Recommedations

Any suggesions for mid-range $$ Golf? We have 7 days in Tucson then up to Phoenix where the courses are familiar.

Umm I dunno but I will be in Tuscon march 12th-ish leaving the AZ state on the 20th. I will ask some of my buddies out there.

Go to EZlinks.com and book yourself a tee time at Starr Pass.. very very difficult but its a good course, with some great views!

Check the south west section. There's a thread that mentions some courses being in pretty bad shape. Dove mountain in Marana is awesome

Ok, here are some recommendations from a long time Tucson guy:
In March, many of the resort courses get full price as opposed to the summer months when us locals can get great deals.

My favorite courses are:
Ventana Canyon: Not far from La Paloma. Either the Canyon or Mountain course. Is $99 on Golf Now. I played the Canyon course at the end of December and it was in FABULOUS condition. Beautiful facilities, target golf and some of the holes are really cool.
Starr Pass: They used to have the Tucson Open here. It is a TPC course, 36 holes. It is $65 on Golf Now.
Golf Club of Vistoso: Weiskopf course on North end of Tucson. Is $65 on Golf Now.
Omni Tucson National: This is where they used to hold the Tucson Open for many years. Rumor is the Accenture Match Play may move back in 2013. Catalina course is the one you want to play. Looks like about $139 on Golf Now. Old style layout -- classy.
Arizona National: Universit of Arizona golf team plays out of here. Beautiful views, target golf. It is $80 on Golf Now.

There are others that I can recommend at somewhat lower prices, some are about an hour drive from La Paloma area (Rancho del Lago, Canoa Ranch, Crooked Tree).

You will not be dissapointed with any of the courses I listed. They are well maintained and we had a lot of rain in December which always helps the desert.
