Hi - I was able to pick up this Chikara Prototype 52 degree wedge and was hoping someone would know something about it. Looks like a C grind so it I think I can rule out this being a V1 proto as those have the 5 grinds.

Did Carlton hand grind all proto's?

If you have any thoughts or insight, they would be appreciated. Thanks

Grow up, just because you have buyer's remorse now doesn't mean he has to take the clubs back. Go enjoy your bass boat and quit trolling his topics

I feel like I'm totally out of the loop here ... might I ask if someone would clue me in?

All I saw was a post about a Chikara Prototype ... thing is, I play them ... in fact, Carl is grinding me three new wedges in Japan right now ... I know him, and his is an extremely good, ethical man that (IMO) is a genious with wedges.

I do know that when I saw the pics ... well, something seemed a little off ... but (the club looks several years old - and I do not believe he was using anything like that grind, and does not look like any finish I've seen Carl use, and the stamping appears to be some sort of odd mimic of what he did).

Everyone here, however, seemed to immediately call BS on this guy ... is there something I should know? (I only say this because I was going to ask Carl about this, he takes his clubs, and reputation, very seriously) ... should I ignore it?)

You can PM me privately if you wish ...

Bob Foster - see the other thread that was posted. I had a bad deal with the guy who posted in this thread i started earlier today. Apparently he is into childish behavior besides doing bad deals. Probably not worth the time to read about the adventures of that kid.

The Chikara that I pictured I bought last week. I bought because I have been wanting to try Chikara wedges and because this says Prototype on it. It came to me in very rusty condition and i applied some wd 40 to clean it up a bit. I think that's why it looks off with the finish or the color.

I was hoping that someone with knowledge of these wedges could chime and tell me what I have or provide any information at all on prototypes that carlton created. Like did he hand grind all prototypes? Which proto is this compared to from his retail wedges or was this a one off he did years ago.

Unfortunately this thread has lost it's intention with other stuff being posted on something completely non related. If you have any info on this wedge - I would be appreciative.

Aaahhh ... okay ... I'll make it simple ... I'll ask him (if you do not mind me sending him the picture). We're emailing about once a week here - as I've just ordered three new wedges from him. What exactly would you like to konw about your wedge?
