Miura vs chikara irons

I got fiited for miuras and them would of been the cb 501's. Another place that sells all Japan clubs turn me on Chikara cb-1 irons. They are a one piece forged club. Look great, more of a satin finish and I have hit the seven iron and they felt sweet. Hit miura and chikara on different days. I know Im getting a great set either way just asking opinions. I know Miura may hold value for resale but if they are good why in the world would I sell them? Club HO!

There is nothing wrong with the clubs, you just want something new. Deep down you know you won't play them any better but you must have them.

Has anyone hit the Chikara CB-1s? They look immense, just wondering how they play in terms of forgiveness, size of the head, sole etc.

From what I here...the chikara irons were not designed or grinded by the master of the wedges

I´d get the Miura CB-501 ... and that´s form a guy who absolutely loves his Chikara Proto wedges. The Chikara irons look nice, but not nearly as classic as the CB-501, which are (aside from the Epon AF-302) my favourite irons at this time.

miura, it's dead simple. forget the chkaras, you will regret it. get the real deal. the miuras will last, resell well and you'll get all the oohs and ahs you need.
don't forget the custom iron covers. they make some now with koala hide I read somewhere. check it out.

No response on the qualities of the Chikara CB1 irons---feeling/softness, quality, forgiveness, etc. Love to hear from someone who either owns or has hit these irons.

I dont think alot have tried the chikaras... reviews on them, atleast here seem to be basically nill.. I haven't played them, but have some miura TBs.

My miuras are simply awesome. As others have saidthey will hold their value also.

um..chikara are nothing special...the grinder had nothing to do with the irons..he was made famous for his work on some chikara wedges...anything endo forged or miura is top notch... endo forged is many irons incl royal collection

These guys on here that reply to a post like this that have NOT tried the Chikara iron don't know how good they are.

Normally on the JDM board you'll find a direct relationship between how "good" a brand is versus how easily their products are found in the US or on eBay. In essence, the harder they are to find, the "better" they are.

That said, there is a fierce group of Miura supporters who trumpet Miura even though they are available worldwide.

What I've learned is that it is hard to take a lot of posts about "best whatever" seriously in light of all the fanboys pimping some boutique brand it is almost impossible for most of us to get our hands on without selling a kidney.

Yes ... and even though I play Miura, I recognize them for what they are - golf clubs. I play them because they work for me, and I recognize they won't work for everyone else.

And to the OP - don't get caught up in exclusivity or a name - they're just golf clubs.

in this case id go miura, i dont really see the appeal anymore of the chik irons now that
carlton has nothing to do with them.

Buy what you like best and don't listen to people who wouldn't buy because Carlton is not working there (or working anywhere just now ) buy what you like its still forged in the same place Carlton worked before he was asked to leave...
